Florida vs. Houston referees: Who are they in the NCAA championship game?
A thrilling men's college basketball season will conclude on Monday night with the NCAA tournament national championship game between Florida and Houston in San Antonio.
Both teams earned No. 1 seeds in March Madness and enter Monday's title game with identical 35-4 records. The Gators clinched their spot in the tournament final with a tight, 79-73 win over SEC rival Auburn, while Houston pulled off one of the most stunning comebacks of the tournament to beat odds-on national championship favorite Duke in the other Final Four matchup.
Now, two veteran-heavy teams will battle it out for the national championship as Florida looks for its third title and Houston searches for its first. It's fitting that calling the game, we'll have a veteran officiating crew.
March Madness National Championship Referees
Ron Groover, Doug Sirmons and Terry Oglesby will call Monday night's game. Sirmons is calling his 10th Final Four, while it's Groover's seventh and Oglesby's sixth.
Hopefully, the trio doesn't call much attention to itself and we can see these two elite teams duke it out unabated.
