6 NHL players who were egregiously snubbed for the 2023 All-Star Game
The 2023 NHL All-Star Game rosters have dropped, with at least one player per hockey team chosen for next month's contest between the four divisional squads. Fans voted for two skaters and one goalie to add to each of those teams.
But that means some big names got left out, so it's time for a look at some of the players who got snubbed, mostly according to fans on Twitter, who are always right (OK, fine, mostly right. Sometimes.).
Let's run through some of those names as we get set for the NHL All-Star Game and Skills competition next month in Florida:
1. F Cole Caufield, Montreal Canadiens
He's tied for 11th in the league with 26 goals. So, yeah, big snub here.
2. F Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, Edmonton Oilers
A player with 54 points is NOT on the roster. WOW.
3. F Tim Stutzle, Ottawa Senators
4. F Brayden Point, Tampa Bay Lightning
With 27 goals and 49 points, the case is right there to be made.
5. D Rasmus Dahlin, Buffalo Sabres
How does the second-leading scorer among defensemen not make it?!
6. G Vitek Vanecek, New Jersey Devils
He's a huge part of why the Devils are a surprise this season.
