Singer at Falcons-Lions game ends national anthem by taking a knee


As players around the league spent the national anthem taking a knee amid President Donald Trump's divisive comments, one of the most powerful statements of all came from somebody who wouldn't play one down on Sunday afternoon.

Rico LaVelle, a local artist who sang the national anthem ahead of the Lions' game against Atlanta, ended his rendition by taking a knee and raising his fist.
