Admit it: You know you're rooting for Tim Tebow to make it in baseball

It's okay. There's no shame in admitting it: Deep down inside, you want Tim Tebow to somehow find a way to sign with a Major League Baseball team after training for a year in a sport he hasn't played full-time since high school.

Your first thought was much like everyone else's: Really?!?! The guy who couldn't cut it as an NFL quarterback now thinks he can pick up baseball out of nowhere a year before his 30th birthday and make it all the way to the majors? There's no way.

After you've stopped laughing, take a minute and go all the way back to 2011. What was it that ignited Tebowmania in the first place? It was the fact that there was no way anyone thought he could succeed in the NFL with a throwing motion full of flaws and accuracy problems.

But there he was in Denver, proving doubters wrong, leading the Broncos to six wins in a row at one point -- with his legs, his intensity and the occasional above-average pass -- and a playoff spot.

Then, he and Demaryius Thomas did this to the Pittsburgh Steelers in overtime:

We all screamed at our televisions that night. We all tweeted some version of "TEEEEBOOOWWWWWWWWWW" and we all finally saw Tebow and his 46.5 completion percentage that season pull off ... a miracle (I know what connecting that word with Tebow means, but it's true).

So while you scoff at the idea of Tebow trying to accomplish something that sounds crazy, unlikely, and with the odds very much against him, deep down you should admit how much fun it would be to see him succeed and find himself starting in right field for one of the 30 Major League teams in the not-too-distant future. He doesn't seem afraid to crash and burn publicly, or to take on the underdog role.

There's something admirable about it ... and it would be something to see him pull off another miracle.
